Cutting data must be verified
Cutting speed, chip load, feed and related values depend on the exact material grade and condition, tool geometry, diameter, coating, flute count, engagement, workholding, tool stick-out, machine capability, coolant and other process variables. Use the tool manufacturer's current recommendations and machine documentation as the primary source for production settings.
Safety
Machining involves rotating equipment, sharp tooling, high temperatures, chips and other hazards. Follow your machine manufacturer's safety procedures, shop procedures and applicable laws and standards. Never rely on a website calculation as a safety control.
