7075 Aluminum

Dedicated reference for 7075 Aluminum machining behavior and cutting-data validation.

A higher-strength aluminum alloy often used where strength-to-weight matters. It is not interchangeable with every aluminum cutting-data table.

Machining behavior

The alloy is generally machinable, but tool geometry, coating and heat control affect finish and tool life.

What to verify before calculating

Using the calculator

Verify alloy/temper and the exact cutter recommendation rather than transferring a generic 6061 setting. Once the source cutting speed and chip-load data are established, use the calculators to convert those values into RPM, feed, feed per revolution and MRR.

Important limitation

A material name alone does not define a production cutting condition. Treat any generic value as a starting reference and give priority to the exact tool manufacturer recommendation and your proven shop data.
